This publicly traded subsidiary (PSE: PLAZA) was established to offer Palestinians its first modern shopping center facility- a one-stop family shopping and entertainment complex-comprised of two company-run anchor stores- the largest supermarket in Palestine (2000 m2) and a large children’s indoor fun fair (600 m2)- along with restaurants, kiosks and a variety of different retail spaces filling over 7000 m2. The locations of this US$10.2 million project is in the city of Al-Bireh, an ideal location for shoppers from Ramallah and its surrounding cities.
The complex features ample parking space and state-of-the art retail amenities not available in retail shops located in the city center. The plaza Shopping Center opened to a huge crowd of visitors and shoppers in July 2003. APIC hopes to implement this same concept in several major Palestinian cities in order to create Palestine’s first shopping center and supermarket chains.
Plaza is a member of the Middle East Council of Shopping Center (MECSC) and the Food marketing Institutes (FMI).
