APIC Discusses Its 2011 Strategy In An Open Meeting With General Managers And Heads Of Sections

APIC held an open meeting at the Grand Park Hotel, Ramallah, for the general managers and heads of sections of its seven subsidiaries, with Chairman of the Board and CEO Tarek Aggad in attendance. This regular meeting discussed the strategy for 2011, identified implementation tools to help the company achieve its goals and assessed the previous year’s  achievements.

Mr. Aggad welcomed participants, saying, "This meeting is a step towards achieving APIC’s goals, to provide the best and most distinguished goods and services to Palestinian consumers, achieve the company‘s vision of prosperity and growth and support and develop local products, promoting them and increasing the returns to the Palestinian economy."

Mr. Aggad went on to add, "APIC has started expansion in the Arab and global markets…acquiring exclusive rights to Proctor & Gamble (P&G) products in eight African states, and distributing our products in several Arab countries because of the relentless effort our staff exerts to achieve a leading position for APIC in Palestine and globally."

APIC Chief Operating Officer Ali Aggad said, "The company is continuously monitoring and evaluating its performance and achievements to ensure progress in its strategy and establish the company‘s principles among its staff." He added, "Since early 2009, the company has adopted the Billion-dollar Vision, aiming to increase annual sales, reaching $1 billion in ten years. This requires intensifying efforts and enhancing internal communications within APIC and its subsidiaries."  He added that APIC believes that "success depends on competent staff and on a set of values that regulate internal operations and motivate staff towards continuous development, innovation and capacity building to ensure the company‘s leading performance and maintain its credibility and the quality of its different services."

Engineer Aggad credited the competence of the company‘s staff to the management’s attention, transparency, motivation, encouragement, empowerment and other critical values, which make them partners in the decision-making and implementation processes."

Last year, APIC acquired exclusive rights to P&G products in eight African countries, consequently established Unipal Middle and West Africa.

APIC is comprised of seven subsidiary companies, with over 800 employees working at the Arab Palestinian Shopping Centers Company (Plaza), the Palestine Automobile Company Ltd.-Hyundai, the National Aluminum and Profile Company (NAPCO), Unipal General Trading Company, Medical Supplies and Services (MSS), Siniora Food Industries Company and Sky Advertising.
